How to play

Each turn you draw 6 cards and slot them into the editor’s two lines. When a line is complete, like attack(3) or for(3, attack(x)), a preview of the result appears as a comment, and when you run it the lines execute from the top. Every card has a memory cost, so the shorter you write the same job, the cheaper it is.

The variable x sticks around after a battle ends. The more you grow it, the harder attack(x) hits, but once it passes 63 it wraps back to 0.

FAQ

Do I need to know how to code?
No. In the first three battles of your first job, your assistant Ping shows you how to place cards. Press and hold a card to see what it does, with an example.

Where is my progress saved?
Only on this device. There is no login or server save, so deleting the app deletes your progress and records with it, and they can’t be moved to another device.

I want to start over.
Tap “New game” on Home to drop your current job and start fresh (your records and achievements stay). To erase the records too, delete the app and reinstall it.

Are there ads or purchases?
There are no purchases. Banner ads appear at the bottom of menu screens, and on the card reward screen you can use “Watch an ad to re-roll” (10 times a day) whenever you want. No ads appear during battles, and you can play all the way through without an internet connection (you just won’t see ads).
