Brights Out · BRIGHTS OUT
Privacy Policy
Brights Out (operated by PlaySonetto) is a free game with no sign-up, login or rankings. Payments for the optional Clock-Out Pass are handled by Apple, and the developer never receives your payment details. The developer runs no server that receives any of your information. Only the information listed below is processed by Google, for showing ads (Google AdMob) and for anonymous gameplay statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase), and none of it is linked to you or used to track you across apps or websites.
Information we don't collect
We don't collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, precise location, photos, payment information (card numbers, payment accounts, receipts, transaction IDs), or account or user IDs. There are no nicknames, rankings, chat or other user-generated content. The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, so it does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Information stored only on your device
Your current run, records such as years-of-service and work-bag unlocks and titles, sound and language settings, your ad consent choice, and whether you own the Clock-Out Pass are stored only on your device so you can keep playing. They are never sent to the developer.
Information processed by Google, and why
| Information | Processor | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Approximate location (country/city level, estimated from IP address) | AdMob Firebase | Regional ad targeting and fraud prevention, regional statistics |
| Device identifiers (app-scoped ID from the ads SDK, Firebase app-instance ID) | AdMob Firebase | Ad frequency capping and fraud prevention, statistics |
| Product interaction (screen views, round start and result, Go/Stop choices, mart purchases, ad buttons, sessions) | Firebase AdMob | Statistics to improve the game, ads |
| Clock-Out Pass purchase and restore outcome (only the outcome type such as success, cancelled or failed — no receipts or transaction IDs) | Firebase | Statistics to improve the purchase screen |
| Advertising data (ad requests, impressions, taps, rewards) | AdMob | Showing ads, statistics |
| Diagnostics (crash, performance and other diagnostics from the ads SDK) | AdMob | Stability of ad features, statistics |
Firebase also receives automatic events such as app version, device model, OS version, language, first open and sessions. None of this information is linked to you or combined with other companies' data for tracking.
Payments (Clock-Out Pass)
The Clock-Out Pass is an optional one-time purchase that stays active once bought. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple through your Apple Account; the developer does not receive or store payment information such as card numbers, payment accounts, receipts or transaction IDs. The app only asks Apple whether you own the pass and saves the result on your device. Anonymous statistics include only the outcome type of a purchase or restore (success, cancelled, failed, etc.).
Ads (Google AdMob)
Banner ads are shown at the bottom of the home, mart and result screens, and rewarded ads are shown only when you tap “Watch ad” in the mart or retry a lost round. Every ad request is fixed to non-personalized ads, so no interest profile is built, and only age-appropriate (G-rated) ads are requested. If an ad fails to load, the game continues as normal.
Ad consent (Google UMP)
In regions where consent is required, such as the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form appears before any ad is loaded, and ads are requested only when your consent allows it. You can change your choice at any time in Home › Settings › Ad privacy.
Third parties and processors
- Google LLC — Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), User Messaging Platform, Google Analytics for Firebase
- Apple Inc. — payment and refunds for the Clock-Out Pass (no payment information is passed to the developer)
We don't use login, cloud saves, or a separate crash-reporting SDK (such as Crashlytics). Google's processing follows the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information. Data handling by the App Store and TestFlight themselves follows Apple's policies.
Retention and deletion
- Progress and records on your device: delete them with Home › Settings › Delete save (sound settings are kept). Deleting the app removes everything, including sound settings and your ad consent choice.
- Statistics processed by Google: anonymous events not linked to you, deleted automatically according to Google Analytics data-retention settings. Deleting the app also removes the app-instance ID, so a new install isn't connected to the old one.
- Ad-related information: follows Google's retention policies.
Children's privacy
The app does not directly collect personal information such as names or contact details from anyone, including children, and requests only age-appropriate, non-personalized ads.
Changes to this policy
If our ads or analytics setup or the information processed changes, we will update this page and note the revision date.
